One of the leading illustrators, humourists and satirical cartoonists of the 20th century, he contributed to renowned Catalan and French magazines. Over the course of his career, he illustrated scenes of everyday life and political issues, children’s stories and trading card collections. He also developed an interest in lewd art (erotic-themed drawings), in which he made a name for himself under the pseudonym Bigre.
An example of a humorous and caricature-style drawing with which he achieved great recognition. He was an admirer of Toulouse-Lautrec and especially of his work as an illustrator for satirical magazines; he met him on his first trip to Paris in 1898 and portrayed him on several occasions.
