Sculptor with his brother Llucià Oslé i Sáenz de Medrano. Both taught at the Barcelona of School of Fine Arts. His public, and often joint, monumental work is based on a realistic style with an academic air. Admirers of the work of Marià Fortuny also dedicated a monument to him. The sculpture was completed in 1922, but it was not installed in its current location until 1942. It is made in a late classicist style, with a clear idealisation of the figure. This small relief, the bronze version of Marià Fortuny’s painting of the same name in the collection (visit the painting), demonstrates the technical mastery of the artist, visible both in the faces and in the folds of the clothes.
