A goldsmith, painter, set designer and theatre director, he was the most prominent member of the Masriera family. Each of its members pursued their own parallel artistic pursuits, whether literary or pictorial.
The artist is best known as a jeweller, and particularly for his work as an enameller. Lluís Masriera’s trips to Paris to take part in exhibitions or keep in touch with his gemstone suppliers, Leo Sachs and Joseph Asscher, enabled him to become familiar with publications on design and learn about the latest international developments.
