Long pendulum clock, three weights, with mechanisms for the Catalan escapement and chimes on the hours and quarters. The face is made from iron with brass casting overlay and the hour and signature disc from pewter. The hands are made from iron.

The machine is a long pendant, three pesos, with mechanisms for the movement with the Catalan escapement, the chime of hours and the one of quarts. The sphere is made of iron with appliqués from the pit of llautó and the disc of the hours and the signature is made of pewter. The agulles are made of iron.

In the Catalan rellotge the stem is toothed, with uniform teeth with equilateral triangles, while the rest of the world are with wings. It is tract of a singularity and an innovation that allows to distribute the driving force of the weights of the pendol. On the occasion of a clockwork congress in Germany in 1958, it was decided to officially name the mechanism as a “Catalan escape route”.
